NurtureNextGen: Supporting parents of children with genetic neurodevelopmental conditions
Previous research has identified opportunities to improve experiences for parents of children with neurodevelopmental conditions as they learn about their child’s condition and engage in prognostic conversations with clinicians.
Our research project seeks to co-design a digital tool to better equip parents to receive balanced, strengths-based information about their child informed by the lived experiences of other families.
NurtureNextGen is funded through the Medical Research Future Fund: Consumer-Led Research Grant Opportunity. Phase one of the three year project commenced in January 2025.
The project is led by Dr Erin Turbitt
