The Cricket Operations Department develops the programming and implements policies developed by the NSWCA Board. The main function of the department is to program the match day and training requirements of all state programs from under 15 through to the international cricket held in NSW. The main focus is obviously the men’s international matches, which make up part of the 3 Mobile Test Series and Commonwealth Bank One-Day International Series each summer.
In this role I work on a variety of issues, particularly involving programming and seasonal planning, including working with Sponsors and Suppliers to ensure that agreements are fulfilled by both parties. I have a number of match day staff that report to me and I deal directly with Team Managers, medical staff and players to ensure that service levels are maintained and where possible improved. The role also involves the nuts and bolts of cricket matches from the stumps and balls, through to catering and Duckworth-Lewis. Being involved in last years Ashes Series was definitely a highlight of my time here.
I completed the Sport and Exercise Management Course in 2001 as part of the first graduating year. I’ve continued my study at UTS completing a Grad Dip in Business Management and I’m currently studying a Master of Business Administration.
